The Boomers Club

The Boomers Club are regulars at Carnegie Hall, Melbourne’s best venue for live music of the 60s, 70s and 80’s. We always have a great time and Kevin, the guy who puts on these nights, is very selective about the bands he books. So I was intrigued when at a recent event he pulled me aside and said, “Cameron, next month is a sellout, I’ve booked a band called The Party Girls, they’re fantastic. I’ve reserved you a table but you need to get in quick.”

Wow, I thought, that’s a big rap from Kevin. And The Party Girls didn’t let us down. They belted out the great 80’s female rock anthems and the dance floor was packed all night.  The Party Girls are great fun, complete with frequent costume changes, audience participation and a great sense of humour. We heard hits from Cher, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Tina Turner, The Bangles, The Go-Gos, ABBA and many more “Boomer” generation music legends.

The feedback from our members was terrific, a 5-star-rated event. We will definitely be back there to see them when they line up again at Carnegie Hall in October

Private Event

We saw the party Girls at a friend’s 50th and decided before the night was over that they would be perfect for our party. Lucky for us they were available and performed at our “Fifty and Fabulous Festival”,  a joint 50th birthday for my husband and his best mate. Our guests raved over the Party Girls – their songs choices, costumes and energy –  and the dance floor rocked all night.
